Michael is an MCIPS and PRINCE2 qualified procurement professional with more than 15 years’ experience of working in a Procurement / Commercial function in the Private and Public Sector. During his time in the Public Sector Michael has worked either directly or collaboratively with the Department of Health, NHS Business Services Authority, NHS Supply Chain, NHS England, NHS Digital, Crown Commercial Service (CCS), Public Health England, Government Legal Department, Department for Transport, HM Treasury, HM Revenue & Customers and the Cabinet Office. Michael has run procurements across a multitude of areas within the health sector, these being; Clinical Advisors/Appraisers, IT Packages, Staffing Resource, Orthopedics (including hips, knees, trauma, blades & cement, sundries.), Stents, Breast Implants & Expanders, Pacemakers, Wound Care, General Consumables, Urology, ENT, MFU, Sterile Packs, Drapes & Gowns, Gloves, General Surgical Equipment (including Energy Devices, Laparoscopic Consumables and Linear Products.), Sutures, Ophthalmology, Capital Equipment, Respiratory Consumables, Managed Services, All Ward and Assessment Ward Equipment & Consumables, All ITU Equipment & Consumables, Community Screening Products, Surgical Mesh, Stock Management System, Syringes & Needles, Interventional Radiology and many more.
Michael has designed and presented workshops for ‘EU Public Contract Regulations’, ‘Framework / Contract Management’ and has written various strategies relating to OJEU Compliant Tenders, Supplier Relationship Management and various others having managed an accumulative spend of over £5bn.
